Lewistown Christmas Stroll

Friday, November 26, 2021

WheresCharlieThe holiday season is upon us, which means the Lewistown Area Chamber of Commerce is once again gearing up for the Downtown Lewistown Christmas Stroll. The event is set for Friday, Nov. 26.

A central Montana tradition, the Christmas Stroll is a fun-filled outdoor activity that inspires people of the community to spread the festive holiday spirit.

As usual there will be firepits set up downtown and there will be a Holiday Bazaar set up outside, featuring local artisans and food trucks alike. This year will also feature a holiday movie courtesy of the Central Montana Jaycees (location TBD).

Other stroll-related activities are as follows:

Parade of Lights
What’s the stroll without the Parade of Lights? This year’s parade will kick off at 5:30 p.m. and the children will not want to miss it, as the one and only Santa Claus will make a special guest appearance.

Cookie Decorating and Gingerbread House Contest
Community members have a great opportunity to decorate their favorite cookies and design a festive Gingerbread House. Those interested in participating must drop off their entries by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 or by 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26. There are categories for both youth and adults. For more information contact the Lewistown Art Center at (406) 535-8278.

$1,000 Chamber Bucks Giveaway
Those wanting to step out of the cold can seek solace in one of the many businesses staying open late. It’s a big day for shopping with lots of Black Friday deals and drawings. Many businesses on and around Main Street have holiday boxes at their counters. Write your name and number and put the slip in the box for a chance to win up to $100 in Chamber Bucks. Ten winners will be drawn. Boxes are out at the businesses now. Participate by Wednesday, Nov. 24.

A drawing will take place at True Value at 7:30 p.m.

Businesses participating include Sport Center, The Coffee Cup, Central Feed Grilling Co., Doc’s, Custom Cuts, Fleet, Marigold Market, Brooks Market, Bally Hoo and True Value.

Where’s Charlie Challenge
Last year’s “Where’s Charlie Challenge” has returned. Five businesses downtown have hidden little bendable Charlie Russell cowboys in their store. If someone takes pictures of all five and comes by the Chamber booth at the Stroll they will win $20 in Chamber Bucks. Those who can’t make the stroll but participate in the challenge can email their findings to lewchamb@midrivers.com. Please do so before Monday, Nov. 29. Participating businesses include Marigold Market, SUS Furniture, True Value, Big Spring Spa and Brooks Market.
